Logos and business cards are not branding. People getting into business are usually worried about having a business card and a logo that will work for now. Sometimes they pay a professional to design for them, or the local print shop. At the end of the day there is no thought put into these and they end up looking like everyone else. A real estate company that has a house in the logo or a photography company that has a camera as an icon; that’s cute but looking like everyone else isn’t going to make you money.

Who owns your logo? Did you know some agencies and designers do not release the copyright for your designs? Sometimes it is because they don’t know they have to, other times it is because they want to leave the option open to charge you later.
